Steg 1

Step 1:

Buy cinnamon sticks at your nearest store—usually found in the spice aisle. Cut a 60 cm length of EKO Single Twist 4mm yarn. Fold it in half and tie a knot at the end. This will be your hanger. Now, cut three more lengths, each 60 cm long.

Steg 2

Start by folding your yarn lengths in half. Use a Lark’s Head Knot to attach each length around the cinnamon stick and also around your hanging cord. Watch the video for clarity. See video: 01:17

Steg 3

Tape your decoration down so it stays in place—this makes knotting easier. Now you’ll use the Clove Hitch Knot to create your knots. It can be tricky at first, so following the video helps. See video: 02:40.

Around 04:02, the video shows how to do an additional Lark’s Head Knot when one end is already secured.

Steg 4

When you’ve finished the first row, start all the way from the left and make Clove Hitch Knots.

After making 2 knots, add a 40 cm cord by securing it with a Lark’s Head Knot. Do the same after the 6th knot. See video 05:30.

Then, make another Lark’s Head Knot with the last cord. See video 07:30.

Steg 5

Cut your cords to the desired length. Comb them if you like! ✨ Then adjust the length of your hanging cord.

Done! ❤️ Now you can make many more!
