Steg 1

Magic Ring

Crochet a magic ring. Hold the yarn in your right hand and spin the yarn around your fingers on your left hand three times. Use your crochet hook to go under the first two loops and hook the third with your crochet hook and pull under the two finger loops, hook the yarn on the crochet hook and pull through. Now the loop on the crochet hooks together the “inner/magic ring”.

Round 1 (color 1)

Make a chain consisting of three loops. A chain stitch is crocheted by taking the yarn over your crochet hook and pulling through. Then crochet 11 double crochet. You crochet a double crochet by taking yarn over your crochet hook, go down with your the crochet hook into the next stitch and pick up the yarn. Pull through the yarn, you have 3 loops on the hook. Pick up the yarn and pull through two of the loops on the needle. Now there are two loops left on your crochet hook. Pick up the yarn and pull through the last 2 loops of the needle so you have one loop left.

Make a slip stitch in the last chain. Gå under the last chain stitch, pick up yarn, and then pulling through all the loops.

Cut and fasten the yarn before changing color for round 2.

Steg 2

Round 2 (color 2)

Attach the new yarn by pulling the yarn through the same loop you just made a stealth stitch in and tie a knot. Dive down with the crochet hook into the same stitch, pull up a loop and crochet a chain consisting of 3 loops. Then crochet a double crochet in the same stitch. Next, crochet two double crochet in each stitch, all the way round. The chain with three loops is counted as a double crochet, so you should crochet 23 posts after the chain.

To finish round 2: Make a slip stitch in the first stitch of the round. Cut and fasten the yarn before changing color for turn 3.

Steg 3

Round 3 (color 1)

Attach the new yarn to only the back loop. Look at your stitch so you see two lines, it is the back line that is the back loop. Pull the yarn through the same loop (back loop only) in which you just made a slip stitch and tie a knot. Pull up a loop and crochet a single stitch. Next, you should crochet 23 more single crochets, one in each stitch the round.

Cut and fasten the yarn, change color and attach to the same stitch in which you just made a slip stitch. Now we will no longer work only in the back loop only, but crochet in the entire stitch again.

Steg 4

Round 4 (color 2)

Dive down with the crochet hook into the same stitch and attached the yarn, pull up a loop and make a chain of three loops. Crochet a double crochet. Skip the next stitch, then crochet a double crochet into the stitch after that. Skip the next one, and then crochet two double crochets into the stitch after that. Repeat until you are back at the start. Thus, you crochet two double crochets, skip a stitch, one double crochet, skip a stitch, two doube crochets, skip, and so on.

Make a slip stitch in the first stitch on the round. Cut and fasten the yarn before changing color for round 5.

Steg 5

Round 5 (color 1)

Change the color and attach the yarn to any of the stitches. Then crochet single crochet all the way around but crochet in the stitches from row 3, where there are gaps. During round 4 you skipped some stitches, during round five you will crochet in these stitches to fill the gaps.

Make a slip mask in the first stitch on the lap. Cut and fasten the yarn before changing color for round 6.

Steg 6

Round 6 (color 2)

Crochet a double crochet in each stitch all the way around. Make a slip stitch and fasten the yarn.

You have now crocheted one half of the Christmas Ornament, you should crochet another half by repeating the steps above.

When you have both pieces, sew the two together. Fill the ornament, use for example, an old sock, leftover yarn tails or stuffing. Tie a small loop of cotton yarn/jute yarn or other ribbon to be able to hang the ornament in your christmas tree.

Good luck!
