Here's how to do it
It's a beginner-friendly bag and relatively quick to make. It's cool, stylish, and modern, and can be crocheted in any color you desire. /Emma

Start with a slipknot and chain 21 stitches. If you're unsure how to crochet a chain of stitches, see the video below.
Row 1: Now, crochet back with single crochet stitches, starting in the second chain from the hook, so that you have 20 single crochet stitches. Add 2 single crochet stitches in the last stitch, so that there are 3 single crochet stitches in the same stitch. Continue crocheting around (do not turn your work, but crochet on the other side of the chain) with 20 single crochet stitches.

You should now have 42 single crochet stitches in this round. If you're unsure how to crochet single crochet stitches or crochet around a chain, see the videos below.
A tip is to use a stitch marker in your last stitch so you always know which stitch is the last one.
Row 2: Start the round by crocheting 2 single crochet stitches in the first stitch, an increase. Continue with 18 single crochet stitches. When you reach the end, increase in the next three stitches by crocheting two single crochet stitches in each of those three stitches. Crochet 20 single crochet stitches back to the stitch marker and finish the round with a slip stitch in the first stitch. You should now have 47 stitches in the round. If you're unsure how to crochet a slip stitch, see the video below.
Row 3: Start with a chain stitch and then crochet 1 single crochet stitch in each stitch from the previous round. You should now have 48 single crochet stitches, 47 stitches plus the chain stitch.
Row 4: Now you'll begin making bobble stitches. Start by making 4 double crochet stitches in the first stitch, without completing the last loop of each double crochet, so you have 5 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all 5 loops. Now crochet 2 single crochet stitches. Crochet a bobble stitch, then 2 single crochet stitches. Repeat this around the entire round (16 times). Finish the round with a slip stitch. If you're unsure how to crochet a bobble stitch, see the video below.

Row 5: Start with a chain stitch and then crochet 1 single crochet stitch in each stitch from the previous round. You should now have 48 single crochet stitches, 47 stitches plus the chain stitch.
Row 6: Crochet 1 single crochet stitch, then 1 bobble stitch. Now crochet 2 single crochet stitches. Crochet a bobble stitch, then 2 single crochet stitches again. Repeat this around the entire round. Finish the round with a slip stitch.
Row 7: Start with a chain stitch and then crochet 1 single crochet stitch in each stitch from the previous round. You should now have 48 single crochet stitches, 47 stitches plus the chain stitch.
Row 8: Crochet 2 single crochet stitches, then 1 bobble stitch. Now crochet 2 single crochet stitches. Crochet a bobble stitch, then 2 single crochet stitches again. Repeat this around the entire round. Finish the round with a slip stitch.
Row 9: Start with a chain stitch and then crochet 1 single crochet stitch in each stitch from the previous round. You should now have 48 single crochet stitches, 47 stitches plus the chain stitch.
Row 10: Crochet 1 bobble stitch. Now crochet 2 single crochet stitches. Crochet a bobble stitch, then 2 single crochet stitches again. Repeat this around the entire round. Finish the round with a slip stitch.
Row 11: Start with a chain stitch and then crochet 1 single crochet stitch in each stitch from the previous round. You should now have 48 single crochet stitches, 47 stitches plus the chain stitch.
Row 12: Crochet 1 single crochet stitch, then 1 bobble stitch. Now crochet 2 single crochet stitches. Crochet a bobble stitch, then 2 single crochet stitches again. Repeat this around the entire round. Finish the round with a slip stitch.
Row 13: Start with a chain stitch and then crochet 1 single crochet stitch in each stitch from the previous round. You should now have 48 single crochet stitches, 47 stitches plus the chain stitch.
Row 14: Crochet 2 single crochet stitches, then 1 bobble stitch. Now crochet 2 single crochet stitches. Crochet a bobble stitch, then 2 single crochet stitches again. Repeat this around the entire round. Finish the round with a slip stitch.
Row 15: Start with a chain stitch and then crochet 1 single crochet stitch in each stitch from the previous round. You should now have 48 single crochet stitches, 47 stitches plus the chain stitch.
Now, cut the yarn and fasten it off. If you're unsure how to fasten off the yarn, see the video below.
Step 2: The Handle
Mark where you want your handle (on the short side); it will be 5 single crochet stitches wide. Start on one side: Crochet 5 single crochet stitches along the edge of the bag. Make a chain stitch and turn your work. Crochet 5 single crochet stitches, then a chain stitch, and turn. Repeat this until you have 33 rows, or the desired length for your handle. Cut the yarn, and now sew the handle onto the opposite side of the bag, where you marked it.
Crochet a round of slip stitches along the bag and handle on both sides.

To shape the handle, sew the edges of the handle together, inside the slip stitches you've just made.

Fasten off the yarn ends, and you're done!
