Here's how to do it
The pattern includes a size chart for S, M, L, and XL, but you can easily customize the bolero to your own measurements by increasing or decreasing the number of chain stitches at the beginning of each section. The bolero is crocheted in separate pieces from the bottom up, which are then sewn together. At the end, a decorative edging is added. The pattern is written for size M, with smaller and larger sizes indicated in parentheses ( ). If only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. / Johanna K

The pattern is written for size M, with smaller and larger sizes indicated in parentheses ( ). If only one number is given, it applies to all sizes.
Gauge: 3 clusters = 10 cm.
If you want to crochet according to your own measurements rather than the sizes described in the pattern, start by chaining a number of stitches divisible by 4 + 3 extra, based on your desired length. For example: 24 + 3 chains.

Assembly:
Now it’s time to start assembling the bolero. Below you’ll find all the steps.

Shoulders:
Work with the right side (the front/pretty side) facing out. Align the front pieces with the shoulders of the back piece (see image 14). Use the yarn tail from the back piece to sew the shoulders together. Weave in all yarn ends.

Sleeves:
Find the center of the top edge of the sleeve and place markers. Align the sleeves with the shoulder seams (see image 16). With the right side facing out, sew the sleeve onto the body of the bolero.

Sides & Sleeves:
With the right side facing out, sew the sides and sleeves together.

Decoration edge around the bolero’s lower edge, front panels, and neckline:
Row 1: Make a slip knot and attach the yarn at the edge of the right front panel. Crochet single crochets evenly along the bottom edge of the panel, front panels, and neckline. If you’re unsure how to make a slip knot or single crochet, see the videos below.

Join with 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet you started with at the edge of the right front panel. Chain 1. If you’re unsure how to crochet a slip stitch, see the video below.

Row 2: Crochet 1 single crochet in the same space as the chain stitch. *Skip 1 stitch. Crochet 5 double crochets in the next stitch. Skip 1 stitch. Crochet 1 single crochet in the next stitch*. Repeat the pattern between *...* along the bolero’s bottom edge. When you reach the front panel and collar, repeat the same pattern.
Note: Crochet half double crochets instead of double crochets if you want the same look as the model in the pattern. You can repeat this pattern on the bottom edge, front panel, and collar.
Join with 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet you made at the beginning of the row. Cut the yarn and fasten off.
If you’re unsure how to crochet half double crochets, see the video below.

Sleeve Decorative Edge
Round 1: Attach the yarn at the sleeve seam (see picture). Chain 1. Crochet 1 single crochet in the same space. Crochet 1 single crochet in each stitch all the way around. Note: Place 1 stitch in each chain space (see picture). Join with 1 slip stitch in the first stitch of the round. Total 61 stitches.

Round 2: Crochet 1 single crochet in the same space as the chain. Skip 3 stitches. Crochet 6 double crochets in the next stitch. Skip 3 stitches. Crochet 1 single crochet in the next stitch. Repeat this pattern all the way around. Note: It’s okay if the round doesn’t end exactly with skipping 3 stitches — it might be 2 or 1, and this won’t affect the overall look. Total of 12 clusters.

Decoration Tie
Mark the points where you want the tie to be placed on both sides of the bolero’s front edge. The tie is crocheted with double yarn — that is, cut a sufficiently long yarn strand, fold it in half, and attach it according to the picture instructions into any stitch along the bolero’s front edge.

.jpg)
Row 1: Chain 62 (or as many chains as you want the tie to be long).
Row 2: Single crochet in the second chain from the hook. Single crochet in each chain across until you reach the bolero’s front edge. Slip stitch into the same stitch where you attached the yarn. Fasten off, cut the yarn, and weave in the ends.
Repeat the same pattern on the other side of the bolero’s front edge.
