Steg 1

Step 1:

Start by making a slip knot. You do it like this: Wrap the yarn about two fingers so that the yarn crosses each other, then pull the yarn through the loop you just made and tighten, you have now made a slip knot. Then secure your slip knot with a single crochet around your rubber knot. Here's how to make a single crochet: tuck the crochet needle down the inside of your rubber cord, catch the yarn and pull up so you have two loops around the crochet hook. Catch the yarn again and pull through both loops, you have now made a single crochet.

Steg 2

Step 2:

Then crochet as many single crochet as you can around your hair tie, keeping in mind that your hair tie is elastic and therefore it is good to squeeze in as many single crochet as you can.

Steg 3

Step 3:

Finish by crocheting a slip stitch in the first loop. Then crochet another loop, cut the yarn so that you get an end of about 7 cm and pull through the loop so you get a knot. Hide your yarn end between your stitches with the crochet hook.

Tip: it may be easier to use a thinner crochet hook for this step if it feels cramped.

Done, good job!
