A new way to look at crafts
We are Salli and Oona - the duo behind MYO.
Our lives came together through snowboarding, and our love of nature has brought us to Åre; a village in northern Sweden, also known as Sweden´s largest ski resort. Here we founded MYO in the spring of 2020.
Our dream is to make traditional crafts accessible to everyone (especially beginners) by creating instructions for products that are easy to make, durable and look great in your home.
We sell our kits and yarns through our webshop www.makeyourown.se and on this site we have collected inspiration and instructions for our yarns and accessories. Welcome to create with us!

Get creative with recycled materials
EKO, our yarn series with OEKO-TEX 100 certificate.
We want to promote sustainable creation in two different senses; partly that you create things you want at home and have a use for, but also what materials you use.
Our EKO yarns are made from materials produced from leftovers from the knitwear industry. The process is also more environmentally friendly due to the fact that the yarn does not need to be dyed separately, but the color comes from the fabric scraps from which the yarn is made. These yarns have an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificate, which guarantees that the yarn does not contain substances that are dangerous for humans or the environment.
