Crochet with EKO Medium
There is a yarn that has been the most purchased yarn in our webshop for a long time: EKO Medium! Here are some new and old tips on what you can crochet with this yarn.
This week we celebrate EKO Medium, which has already been a favorite yarn with our customers for six months and topped the sales list month after month. Maybe not so strange because Medium can be used for so many of our instructions!
Here are some tips on what you can create with EKO Medium:
Round baskets in different sizes
Yes, we already knew this didn´t we? But the fact is that baskets ARE very practical and stylish to have at home - you can never have too many, right! Learn how to crochet baskets with our simple instructions found on the instructions page:
Crocheted laptop case
What some have probably tried, but probably many did not know, is that laptop cases can also be crocheted in this yarn. Although we have used EKO Mini on the instruction page, Medium can give at least as nice results and with a stable structure for the case. You can also crochet a pocket for your small things, cords, etc., to the front.
Basic instruction for how to crochet a laptop case (of any yarn):
Crocheted runners or rugs
Crocheted mats can be made with the same instructions as with our square rugs. These are super easy to make in different sizes: when you crochet the first chain, decide the length of the short side, and then just keep going until you´re happy with the length!

Larger baskets in different formats
Try crocheting even larger baskets with EKO Medium! Here we have some examples; a crocheted dog basket, a laundry basket, and a larger storage basket.
All of these are modifications of the basket instruction, which you can use as a basis but make the bottom bigger and the wall higher - and possibly crochet handles like in our crocheted bag.

Crocheted flowerpots in different colours
Crocheted pots are a perfect DIY project and a way to make use of the old pots you have lying around at home. You can make the crocheted pot exactly the size you want, so it matches the size of the pot. You can find the instructions here:
The rag rug style - multicolored
Do you have leftover EKO Medium at home? Don´t hesitate to use them for something where you can mix different colors, for example, a bag or laptop case! Here is one that Salli just made from leftover yarn she had at home =)
